Chang-Boong is a Master in Public Affairs (MPA) candidate at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, USA – Currently, a Graduate Intern at CPCS’s PPP Global Unit over the summer.

Before CPCS and Princeton, he served as a policy analyst at Securities Commission Malaysia for three years, where he worked on financial sector development, bond market regulation, and promoting sustainable finance in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

Chang-Boong’s project experiences included the development of the ASEAN Green, Social, and Sustainability Bond Standards as well as Malaysia’s 5-year strategic blueprint for sustainable finance in the capital markets. Among other responsibilities, he advised investment banks on the international best practices, local regulation, and tax incentives for issuing thematic bonds and sukuk.

He completed a stint with the German Development Finance Institution, the DEG of KfW Group in Jakarta, Indonesia, where he conducted industry and investment analysis on companies in sectors including textile manufacturing, food processing, shipping, and microfinance.
