Iram Nawaz – Personal Statement on work experience, accomplishments and education.

Proven corporate and communications leader with over 18 years’ experience in creating alliances with strategic partners by delivering user-focused narratives, policies and trainings. Strong collaborative experience in leading teams to collectively deliver projects against demanding goals and environments. Experience in working in both global (USA) and local (Pakistan) environments.

I am an experienced communications and content development (writing and editing) professional with a portfolio of marketing content collateral and communication campaigns. I was Managing Editor at HP Networking, Hewlett-Packard, Palo Alto, CA (Silicon Valley) where I was increasing HPN brand awareness across sales professionals and effectively communicating sales tools and assets to channel and sales.

I have had several leadership roles at both Microsoft (Redmond, Washington, USA) and HP (Palo Alto, CA, USA). Through HP communication platforms and partnerships with stakeholders, I have delivered change management by reaching audiences up to 30,000 internal clients, partners, and sales teams.

My communications, both written and verbal, are very polished and professional. I am proficient in all levels of editing (print & web): developmental, substantive, copyediting, and production editing. This deep working knowledge of editing and writing documents for a global audience is a rare find in today’s emerging markets and non-English speaking countries for expansion.

Education: I have a Masters in Publishing from the UK and a degree in Technical Communications from the Human Centered Design & Engineering School, University of Washington, Seattle, USA.
