I am a development practitioner with specific grounding and expertise in disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation and humanitarian assistance. I have accrued more than thirty years of increasingly senior management experience gained within forty countries across three culturally diverse regions - Pacific, Asia and Africa. 15 year’s experience driving, guiding and/or encouraging whole-of-government transformational change agendas particularly in the field of disaster risk management and climate change adaptation and their integration with development agendas. 13 years United Nations experience (over the past 20 years) including a period of eight consecutive years at the D1/P6 senior management level. Over 15 year’s grass-roots field experience within the Asia and Pacific Regions and almost four year’s progressive Africa experience within and across twenty countries. Humanitarian coordinator/advisor for over 35 major crisis events associated with floods, cyclones, volcanic eruptions and earthquakes.
