KEY QUALIFICATIONS 

An accomplished Food and Nutrition specialist professional with more than 13 years of experience successfully designing, managing and monitoring food and nutrition programs in Kenya both in government and non-profit organizations. Policies and Guidelines development: spearheaded the development of national policies and guidelines in the following areas; Food and Nutrition Policy, Infant and Young Child Feeding, National guideline for Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition, Kenya National Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics Reference manual, Guideline for Nutrition Assessment in Kenya, Handbook on Integrated management of Acute Malnutrition, IMAM Surge Approach toolkit (operational& facilitators guide). Food security and livelihood analysis: wealth of field experience in conducting food security, livelihood and vulnerability assessments including nutrition SMART surveys. Extensive experience in Integrated Phase Classification (IPC) protocols for classifying acute food insecurity and Acute malnutrition as both a certified trainer and practitioner. Excellent facilitator and fluent in English and Kiswahili: useful for conveying complex information appropriately to stakeholders in different for a (e.g conference, workshops, partnership meetings etc) with diverse backgrounds and needs. Capacity building skills and mentorship: Ability to develop training Modules for workshops and conferences in the field of food security, livelihoods and nutrition. Skills set: A self-starter with good communication, excellent qualitative and quantitative skills in data entry, cleaning and analysis both basic and advanced using Ms Excel, EPi Info, ENA for SMART, Nutri Survey, LQAS, SQUEAC and SPSS
