Nils Gardek has more than 20 years of international experience in development assistance, with over 15 years in Asia, including technical contribution on projects from development of project concept, project preparation to implementation. This includes project management of the assignments and extensive experience with multi-disciplinary leadership and teamwork.
Mr. Gardek has advised on the development of large-scale social and infrastructure projects within urban development, water supply, water & sanitation and education. Nils has worked on social, institutional and capacity needs assessment in connection with appraisals, reviews and evaluations; assistance to development and implementation of strategies and action plans, project concepts, and support to case studies on sector-specific issues.
Nils has extensive knowledge of the Southeast Asian region and projects related to infrastructure development. Nils has since 2006 been working extensively in the South and SouthEast Asia Region. With his understanding of the local society and cultures in South East Asia, Nils has contributed to local and regional project implementations, in addition to effectively enhancing contact and coordination both with client, donors and the project implementation teams and partners.
