Key Qualifications:

Mr. Rashid Ahmed holds master’s degrees in Applied Environmental Science, Chemistry & Business Administration from University of the Punjab, University of Karachi, Preston University Karachi, respectively. Mr. Rashid has extensive experience in Environmental, Chemical conservation and Cleaner Production sectors mainly due to his affiliation with Pakistan’s leading Environmental & Energy conservation consulting firms. He has been involved in “Implementation of Resource and Energy Efficiency Technologies in the Sugar Sector of Pakistan” Project (Funded by European Union) as project coordinator. He has supervised and coordinated more than 35 energy audits for resource and energy efficiency of sugar sector in Pakistan. He has been affiliated with Textile Supplier Multi-Country Resource Efficiency Assessments project (Funded by IFC). He has been involved in the long-term competitiveness and environmental sustainability of the textile wet processing sector, through multiple initiatives aimed at addressing high water, energy, and chemical use through the adoption of best practices in the textile sector. He has worked in Environmental & Energy Sustainability Programs (Funded by Embassy of Kingdom of Netherland) PISD as Project coordinator he has supervised & Coordinate more than 150 Environmental Management and Energy Conservation audits in different industrial sectors & individual industries. He was involved in establishment & implementation of Environmental Management Program (EMP) for industrial client spread across Pakistan, which accounts to EMS design, implementation & certification in more than 100 industrial units. He is a Lead Trainer for providing trainings on environmental, chemical management, cleaner production, occupational health and safety issues in several industrial units with the vast experience of working in different chemical industries.
