I am a result-oriented and innovative advisor with extensive experience in human rights, peacebuilding, conflict management, stabilization, democratic governance, civil-military cooperation, women’s rights, humanitarian assistance, prevention of violent extremism. My competencies are rooted in practice and programming, monitoring and evaluation, through various positions. Over the past 17 years, I have worked with various national, regional and international organizations including 11 years spent with in Fragile and Conflict-Affected states.
I have supported and collaborated with global and regional inter-governmental organizations: United Nations Secretariat, UN Development Programme, the African Union, Lake Chad Basin Commission, ECOWAS, ECCAS, and SADC. As part of my role, I have worked with various military and police contingents, including the Force Intervention Brigade in Democratic Republic of Congo and the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) in Chad deployed to fight violent extremism in Lake Chad Basin Region. As a result, I have developed strong abilities to build partnerships with humanitarian, development, and peace actors, senior government officials, civil society, women groups, United Nations Country Team (UNCT), international partners, international NGOs, donors, the diplomatic corps, the media, and senior security forces officers to achieve the priorities of the organizations I have worked with.
I am an accomplished communicator with strong people management skills, and I have demonstrated these skills by collaborating with staff from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, always showing sensitivity for gender and respect for diversity. Similarly, my competencies also relate to strong leadership in office and financial resources management, including leading large teams composed of 30+ staff.
