• Research consultant on Yemen and Syria

• Produced detailed mappings the conflicts in Yemen and Syria through through extensive desk research as well as on-line and in-person (in Jordan) interviews with members of armed groups, religious leaders, sharia scholars, and national experts

• Written analyses on opportunities and challenging of cooperating with religious and tribal leaders to promote IHL/IHRL among radical Islamist armed groups in Yemen and Syria

• Assisted in the development of Geneva Call’s policy in Yemen and Syria

• Written engagement guidelines for Geneva Call’s humanitarian personnel on how to best engage with Islamist religious leaders and tribal leaders in the advancement of peace initiatives in Yemen and Syria

• Presented and discussed the outcomes of the research at international conferences with donors, partners, and stakeholders
