Dr Pantal is a full professor of Economics at the State University of Haiti. His areas of research and teaching are microeconomics and industrial organization. He has done extensive work on public policies, particularly on issues related to health and education. Dr Pantal has worked with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to help modernize the education system in Haiti. He has also worked with the International Development Bank (IDB) in a systematic effort to strengthen public institutions as well as governance in Haiti. Currently, Dr Pantal is the head of Haiti's Business Investment Development (BID), a World Bank-funded project whose main objective is to improve the conditions for private sector investment and inclusive growth in Haiti.
