Strengthening host and refugee population in Ethiopia is DFID/ FCDO funded program implemented by the consortium of DAI, IRC, first consult and market share.
Business Advisor- Access to finance and Business Development
Promotes increased refugee self-reliance and generates economic opportunities for host communities through catalytic investment in strategic engagement areas livestock, poultry, and access to finance & business development services.
Assesses financial institution partners and provides an evaluation of institutional strengths and weaknesses that would support or hinder linkages with cooperatives and/or project progress.
Provides technical assistance and support to financial service providers based on identified gaps and weaknesses, to allow them to effectively link with project partners.
Builds and maintains effective working relationships with government, non –government organizations and donors, and local collaborating partners for effective financial inclusion program development and implementation.
Conduct periodical visits & discussions among the project supported cooperatives and saving groups to provide technical supports on their performance together with partners program staff
Supervises and maintains strong liaison among the regional project offices in the overall functioning of the financial literacy activity.
Contribute to market analysis in selected sectors to identify critical and emerging constraints and opportunities within the sectors and plan potential strategic interventions in line with SHARPE’s market systems development approach and strategic priorities.
Facilitate business plan development for local private sector actors that SHARPE will work with in the process of stimulating markets towards local economic development.
Ensure that all interventions are achieving inclusion targets – particularly supporting access to refugees, and to ensure that women are included in planned activities on at least an equal basis as men.
Collect relevant data for vetting and due diligence processes. Conduct due diligence for micro-grants.
Conduct and participate in internal program as well as stakeholder workshops
Build and manage constructive relationships with intervention partners.
Identify potential new or additional partners relevant to SHARPE sectors and interventions in line with the market and sector strategies and recommend willing partners.
