Mr. Pierre Kadi Sossou has been working for United Nations Peacekeeping missions and US based international NGOs in several post conflict countries over ten years, promoting governance, democracy and the rule of law which is the foundation of democracy. He is providing technical and managerial oversight in the areas Resilience, Community protection, Early Warning System, Media and Mobil Cinema, Livelihoods Microproject, Mental Health and Psychosocial Services (MHPSS), Conflict Transformation, Elections, Voter education, Advocacy, political participation of women, youth, technical and organizational capacity development of civil society organizations (CSOs). Mr. Sossou provided oversight to civil society organizations who worked toward for inclusion of marginalized groups, strengthening their capacity in the delivery of public service for greater citizen participation. He provided technical assistance in humanitarian response to natural disasters. These undertakings required strategic thinking and advice to CSOs on innovative tools enabling an interactive communication in intercultural setting, advice to the national authorities, democratic support institutions and HQ senior officials on democratic trends and challenges. Mr Sossou speaks French, German fluently, and proficient English.
