Over 15 years as competent health systems strengthening, quality improvement and patient safety leader with significant experience working at various levels of Ghana’s health sector i.e., district, regional and tertiary levels respectively.

Expert in organization development and development of quality improvement interventions for healthcare organizations and have been involved in institutional/organizational and individual capacity building and assessments across health facilities in Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Malawi. He also provides mentorship/coaching to health professionals in countries such as Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Ghana. Moreover, he has robust understanding of research design and conduct, problem identification and analysis, human factors, organization development, health services planning and management, policy/strategy development and implementation, communication and report writing.

Polished stakeholder management experience working with partners including the: World Health Organization (WHO); Ministries of Health in Ghana, Sierra Leonian, and Liberia; United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF); United Nations Development Program (UNDP); International Society of Quality in Healthcare (ISQua), International Standards Organization (ISO) and Last Mile Health (LMH).

Skillful in facilitation and have been involved in designing meetings (large and small) to help achieve the desired outcomes. He has experience in working within the whole healthcare systems of Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Malawi providing advice of strategies for organizational change, transformation, alignment; and facilitate commitment and engagement of stakeholders based on trust and mutual respect.

Formerly, served as an International Consultant for the WHO’s Sierra Leone and Liberia country offices where he developed healthcare quality management systems including establishing governance structures, building capacity of healthcare providers across the various levels of the health sector; and reviewing the National Healthcare Quality Strategy (2016-2021) and facilitating the development of a new one (for Liberia). He also facilitated the development of a 5-Year National Quality of Care Strategy and Policy with an implementation matrix and a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Framework.
