Dr. Wangui Ndungu is a Veterinary Doctor with extensive expertise in livestock market systems, community development, and environmental impact assessment. Holding a Master’s in Community Development from Daystar University, she complements her academic foundation with certifications in One Health, environmental assessment, and leadership.

Her career spans impactful roles in developing the Kenya Livestock Masterplan, assessing livestock extension services, and conducting regulatory impact evaluations. She has led innovative initiatives in livestock market systems, enhancing market access and productivity while strengthening value chains.

Dr Ndungu has worked withgovernment, donor-funded programs (USAID, FAO, FTF), and private sector actorsto strengthenagricultural and livestock market systems, enhance financial inclusion, and develop sustainable interventionsfor economic growth.

Her key expertise includes:

·        Market systems analysisand private sector engagement in livestock and crop value chains.

·        Access to finance for agribusinesses and market actors (SACCOs, MFIs, and cooperatives).

·        Policy development and impact assessments for regulatory frameworks.

·        Livelihoods and resilience programming, linking producers to formal markets.

·        Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) for market-driven interventions.
