Currently working in the wine tourism sector in Portugal and also as a freelance consultant for the oil industry and associated consulting companies mainly on oil spill preparedness and response themes but also environment related work for the oil and shipping industries. Previously I was involved in environmental work in petroleum and maritime sectors full time including more than 25 years experience in maritime surveillance using drone/RPAS, coastal management, vessel traffic monitoring & oil spill preparedness and response. I am very customer focussed with strong skills in communications, project management, environmental impact assessment, training, consultancy, sales and marketing, and working with international organisations both in the public (IMO/United Nations and European Commission) as well as private sector(oil industry, equipment manufacturer and consulting). I also have considerable experience in European public procurement having worked for 16 years within a European Commission Agency. Lastly, I have worked in or with customers in Europe, Africa, Asia, the United States, the Caribbean and Latin America and work fluently in 4 languages.
