About

As an accomplished economist with over 30 years of experience in macroeconomics, public finance, and development economics, I bring a unique blend of expertise in policy analysis, public debt management, and institutional capacity building. My career spans leadership roles at prestigious global organizations such as the World Bank, African Development Bank (AfDB), and the International Labour Organization (ILO), where I’ve led high-impact research, strategic advisory initiatives, and capacity-building programs across Africa and beyond.
I hold a graduate degree in Economics, along with executive education with specialized certifications from Harvard and MIT, and have spent decades advising governments, international organizations, and academic institutions on policies aimed at fostering sustainable development, economic stability, and poverty reduction. My areas of expertise include debt sustainability, fiscal policy, macroeconomic analysis, and labor market dynamics.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to major development projects and policy reforms, from designing debt management strategies at the World Bank to providing strategic counsel on labor market policies for the ILO. I’ve also dedicated significant time to academia, teaching at the University of Burundi and the University of Rwanda, where I shaped the next generation of economists.
In addition to my advisory work, I have published extensively on a range of topics, including public debt, gender in the labor market, and the economic impact of health policies. My research has influenced decision-making in both government and international organizations.
As an International Economic Consultant, I continue to provide strategic guidance on economic policies, conduct rigorous analysis, and support capacity-building efforts to improve economic governance.
With a proven track record in research, policy development, and capacity building, I am passionate about making lasting contributions to economic stability and development, especially in emerging economies.
