I have worked mostly in international organizations and national organizations dealing with senior level professionals.

 I am a Certified Internal Auditor of the Institute of Internal Auditor (IIA) since 2021. I hold MSc degree in Banking and Finance from Cass Business School, London (UK) and MA in Economics. 

 I have been a consultant since 2018 and have advised and trained various banks, organizations, and their senior staff and management on internal audit, COSO Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and internal control framework and assessment. I have been working voluntarily with the Turkey’s Institute of Internal Auditor as well as actively attending international and national conferences in the capacity of translator/ interpreter. 

 As results of my audit findings, I made about 200 recommendations in various areas and functions such as Treasury, Corporate & project finance, Administrative procurement, Human resources, Employee pension plan, Business travels, Accounting and bank reconciliations, and Budgeting. I established a solid follow up system and continuously followed up with the process owners to facilitate the implementation of recommendations to improve governance, risk management and internal control effectiveness. I also promptly brought to the attention of the Audit Committee any issue on which I believed that any lack of immediate action could pose serious financial or reputational risks for the Bank. I have been able to develop constructive relationship with audit partners (process owners) and other stakeholders in the Bank and, also ensured the internal audit departmental has the required technical skills and knowledge, leadership skills and commitment to continuous improvement of the Bank’s operations. Besides my assurance role, I assessed the COSO based effectiveness of risk management system (ERM) and, also COSO based effectiveness of internal controls in the Bank as an advisory role.

I can communicate in Turkish, English, Farsi, and Azerbaijani languages. I also know basic German at A1 level.

 My part time assignments:

As a visiting lecture I had also lectured on internal auditing, COSO ERM, COSO internal control, corporate governance, risk management, internal control, corporate finance topics in various universities and organizations. I had trained the Central Bank of Afghanistan staff on accounting and corporate finance, as a technical assistance consultant sponsored by the World Bank. I had worked with Eurasia Fund (a US-based international NGO) as a training consultant and facilitator on empowering neo-entrepreneur women in Eurasia on financial management topic.
