Mr. Jan Drozdz is an accomplished manager and environmental engineer with more than 40 years of international experience in managing water and sanitation projects and programs in both, public and private contexts.
For the last twenty two years he was a Senior Water and Sanitation Specialist at the World Bank, assuming growing responsibilities from a water engineer to a team leader and project manager in all aspects of the lending cycle in Africa, East Asia and Pacific, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, where he managed more than 30 major water and wastewater projects with investment budgets from US$20 million to US$150 million.
He has proven abilities to handle complex technical, institutional, procurement and implementation issues, and to maintain a high level dialog with the governments, financiers, and other key stakeholders. He played a decisive role in forging public-private partnerships (PPP) in the water sector in Poland, Armenia, Cameroon, Chad and Cambodia in collaboration with bilateral and multilateral agencies, and investment banks. He has also a vast experience in institutional strengthening, capacity building, and training of the public authorities and utilities in water and sanitation sector.
