Nebiyu Solomon is a seasoned leader with 15+ years of progressive experience in various non-profit and bilateral organizations ( Master Card Foundation, British Council, European Union, VSO East Africa and South East Asia Hub , SOS CV etc ) working all the way from a grass-roots level to senior leadership and management roles. Notably, he has served as Country Programme Lead, Senior Advisor, program coordinator, and Senior Programs Manager) for the past 10 years, with demonstrated experience in spearheading the development and operationalization of strategic plans, managing a mix of large-scale and multi-stakeholder programmes (including youth, gender, community development, resilient livelihood, AYSRH, fod security and etc ) such as the largest civil society support programme (CSSP) in Ethiopia (£28 million), Private Enterprise Programme Ethiopia (£70million) and Health and Economic Growth Project ($20 million) projects for vulnerable groups such as adolescents and youths and hard-to-reach locations, and managing relationship with institutional donors and partner managed projects. He is known for being an inspirational leader aspiring to continually do better, and influence others through modeling the way. He is a builder with demonstrated achievements in growing and diversifying organizational portfolios.

Besides, He is a strategic leader and a great organizer skilled in working with and collaborating across organizations and cultures and building consensus among diverse groups. Nebiyu has experience and exposure working within the African and Asia context from his work in Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, and Bangladesh.

Academically Nebiyu has earned MA in Sociology and; BA in Psychology, and is also a graduate candidate for an MBA. Besides, he has attended numerous short-term training courses and conferences overseas. He has also got the certification from HUMUNTUM in PMP

Previous experience in evaluating and assessing project proposals and concept notes, project start-up, hiring, supervising, and mentoring to meet programmatic needs.
