More specifically; 

Currently, I am working as Senior Emergency, Humanitarian and Development Advisor and Lead Consultant in East Africa Region. I used to work as an Associate Protection Officer and Head of Child Protection Unit in the Emerrgency Transit Mechainism (ETM) UNHCR Niamey Niger. I used to work as Community-Based Protection in Zimbabwe during the Cyclone Idail emergency situation. I used to work as Senior Community Services Associate in the United Nations High Commissioner for the Refugees (UNHCR-Ethiopia) and responsible for child protection, HIV/AIDS, GBV, Youth, Persons with specific needs (including single women, persons with disability, older persons, persons with mental difficulties, Unaccompanied minors, etc..), Education and community organization and awareness creation. Prior to this post I have been working as a social worker for the last 6 and 1/2 (1992 to 1998) years under the ministry of Labour and Social affairs in Wollega Zone Oromia region and North Shewa Zone in Amhara regional state. Since September 1998 to January 2000, I worked as Assistance Gender Specialist in International Institute of Rural Reconstruction Ethiopia (IIRR), since February 2000 to February 2001 as Gender and Saving and Credit expert in the Netherlands Development Organization (SNV). Since March 2001 to December 2001, I was working as a Project Manager for the Netherlands Development Organization (SNV)-Ethiopia - Gidan Integrated Rural Development Program (GIRDP) in North Wollo Zone Gidan Woreda. Since January 2002 to December 2002, I was working as a Gender Advisor for the Netherlands development organization in North Wollo Capacity building Program. Since June 2003 to December 2004, I used to work as Gender Expert in Integrated Holistic Approach Urban Development Programme in Addis Ababa city and since January 2005 to October 2008, I used to work as Head of the Community Development Component and Gender Resource person in Integrated Holistic Approach Urban Development Programme and Addis Hiwot Sustainable Development Organization. And finally, since November 2008 to March 2009, I was working as education and child sponsorship programme officer In Integrated Holistic Approach Urban development project (IHA—UDP).
