QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE: Tourism professional with 21 plus  years of university teaching & research experience with institutions providing tourism training services in the United States; multi-country experience in skills development especially in the tourism industry in developing countries in Africa and Eastern Europe; familiarity with models of developing market-driven and industry-led training programs PROJECT INTERESTS INCLUDE: Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET); Designing of Training Methodologies; Curriculum and didactic materials development at both the university vocational & tertiary levels; analysis and facilitation of private sector linkages with local economic development; harnessing business core competencies and supply chains for development impact; pro-poor value chain assessment to enhance engagement of the poor in tourism value chains; poverty impacts of tourism.
