Wide experience as a Financial Manager in commerce and industry.  Also available to work on NGO and development projects.

A qualified accountant (CPA) applicant has a history of hands-on financial management responsibility and general operations management experience in engineering, construction, FMCG manufacturing, telecoms, mining and service industries with market leaders in Southern Africa, more recently in Mozambique.

• Leadership, training and mentoring of accounting staff.
• Manage cross border transactions and currency issues.
• Financial reporting – annual audit packs prepared under IFRS in dual currencies.  Monthly management accounts and board packs with detailed reports and commentary.
• Preparation of business plans and annual budgets with quarterly updates to forecasts.
• Costing and financial analysis of brands, product lines, channels, supply chain costs, production efficiencies, inventory controls and capex.
• Responsible for timeous submission of all statutory returns and payments, control and collection of receivables, monthly reconciliation of GL accounts and cash flow forecasts and updates.
• Competent user and administrator of IT including advanced MS Excel and a range of ERP accounting systems.
• Manage business relationships with customers, banks, suppliers, auditors etc.
• Supporting role to other functions, departments and divisions.
• Driver of change and stream-liner of processes.  Delivering results in complex business structures.
