Ms. Marino holds a PhD in Forestry and Agriculture (2009) from the University of Palermo, since then have been working as a researcher and freelancer in the environmental sectors. During the several collaborations she has been in charge of the database information system management and data analysis concerning livelihood, social service and security data (DRC, Rwanda, Sahel). Marino also has a solid knowledge of remote sensing methodologies, afforestation/deforestation rate analysis (CAFEC program) and renewable energy. Marino has been involved in several GIS projects in DRC with WWF and WRI and in the agro-forestry context working with PEACE DIRECT UK in the area of food security and in three academic projects (DCA University of Palermo; DESA University of Sassari; DISTAF- University of Florence). Her mother tongue is Italian and she is fluent in English and in French.
