Paul is a highly skilled, commited and enterprising development and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) specialist with experience spanning more than 30 years working in Africa, Asia and Europe. Following a career as a senior lecturer at the University of Nairobi and having worked for a pan-African NGO in Kenya and UNDP in Rwanda, Paul returned to the UK and established himself as an an independent consultant focusing on international development project MEL; Resource Mobilisation; Organisational Development; and Management Information Systems (MIS).
With an engineering and statistical background, Paul utilises the full range of qualitative and quantitative data collection and statistical analysis tools, and innovates, adapts, and reflects to add value and clarity to his work.
Paul has expertise using Kobo Toolbox, R, RQDA and Power BI to collect, analyse and visualise data; he develops organisational SQL server databases, and routinely pulls data directly from Kobo Toolbox servers into SQL databases for storage, manipulation and reporting.
