About
Raina Zantout is a Development Practitioner who has found her passion in ensuring that all people - in both Development and Humanitarian / Emergency settings - have the right to access (and can access) sustainably, safely and with dignity their basic needs. Though she has international experience dating back to 2009, her career formally launched when she moved to Lebanon in 2014 to support emergency programs designed to meet the needs of newly arrived Syrian refugees. She works predominantly in the "MEAL" Sector (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Learning) ensuring that people's needs and changing concerns form the basis of programming. Most recently, she has been working as a consultant, mostly working towards SDG #6 Water and Sanitation for All by conducting project and program evaluations, for instance, in Rwanda, Jordan, Sierra Leone, and Haiti. Her clients are UN agencies and international NGOs and donors, including USAID, an organization she has worked with several times helping to realign long-term projects.
