About
I have around 20 years of experience in EU policies, EU integration, capacity building, advocacy campaigns, instiutional lobbying and visibility campaigns in Zagreb, Brussels and Western Balkans gained during negotiation process and after the Accession of Croatia to the EU. Last 14 years I have spent in the Croatian Parliament as an external adviser, Memeber of Parliament, and then as a Chairman of the European Integration/Affairs Committee dealing with the harmonization with the acquis, scrutiny of European legal documents, promoting EU policies and monitoring EU funds absorption.
In the last five years I have worked as a short term expert on several projects in South East Europe (Western Balkans) dealing with the Implementation of Stability and Association Agreement, role of JPC/SAPC and national parliaments in EU integration processes, functioning of the EU and communicating key EU policies (Trade policy, Cohesion policy, Regional development, Digital economy including DSM, Energy union, Institutional framework and Parliamentary scrutiny), lobbying for different states and institutions (including within EU institutions), implementing visibility activities and discussing specific negotiations chapters.
As a Chairman of the European Affairs Committee I was leading a team of five experts/advisors on EU legislation, financial instruments, specific polices and subsidiarity. Currently I am a CEO of EuroNavigator, a leading Croatian Public Affairs agency with offices in Zagreb and Brussels, employing six people and coordinating a network of experts for the majority of EU policies and chapters in all countries of South East Europe.
My expertise includes regional integration, capacity building for EU integration, oversight of implementation of legislation, advocacy, political trainings and visibility campaigns.
