I am a holder of a Master of Science Degree in Water Science and Engineering specialising in Land and Water development obtained from the UNESCO-IHE in Netherlands and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Malawi. I am currently working as a Social Infrastructure Expert for the Joint Songwe River Basin Commission (SONGWECOM) based in Kyela, Tanzania. This is a joint initiative between the Governments of Malawi and Tanzania whose main aim is to address challenges emanating from the Songwe River which is the boundary between the two countries. My responsibilities include facilitating preparation of plans, designs and supervising rehabilitation and construction of new schools, health facilities, water supply and sanitation projects and other related infrastructure that will support social services within the Songwe River Basin. I am fully involved in finance mobilisation of projects under the SONGWECOM especially in development of concept notes for infrastructure projects. I have also worked as an Engineer in the Department of Irrigation and Water Development in Malawi and was responsible for Planning, designing and implementing community construction projects and water related infrastructure projects within Malawi.
