Horizon Europe is the EU’s major funding program that plays an important role in research and innovation. It also aims to tackle climate change, support the achievement of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals and improve the EU's competitiveness and development.
Horizon Europe calls for clean and competitive solutions for all transport modes with its program entitled ”Towards a silent and ultra-low local air pollution aircraft” the goal of which is to devise innovative aircraft and engine technologies that satisfy the design and operational interdependencies between CO2, non-CO2 and noise emissions, are well-matched with approved operational procedures and are in line with the European industrial roadmaps for continuous development, validation and integration beyond 2030.
