Description
Horizon Europe is the EU's main research and innovation funding initiative with a budget of €95.5 billion. It combats climate change, contributes to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, and strengthens the EU's competitiveness and growth.
Horizon Europe’s funding program entitled “Prevention of obesity throughout the life course” anticipates bringing results that are oriented, tailored towards, and contribute to the outcomes listed below:
• Basic biological processes (genetic and epigenetic blueprints) conferring vulnerability to and protection against overweight/obesity are much more understood by researchers, medical intervention developers, and health care practitioners.
• Healthcare experts, national/regional/local government officials, and other stakeholders (e.g., schools, canteens, hospitals, workplaces, shopping malls, sports centers) have access to and implement evidence-based clinical guidelines, best practices, multidisciplinary preventive measures, policy proposals, and/or new policies to combat overweight/obesity and its co-morbidities throughout life.
The planned opening date is October 6, 2021.
The deadlines are February 1, 2022, 17:00:00 Brussels time, and September 6, 2022, 17:00:00 Brussels time.
