e.Gen is currently looking for experts for the LOAN 53382-002 BAN: South Asia Subregional Economic Cooperation Dhaka–Sylhet Corridor Road Investment Project-Tranche 1 project. The requirements for this position include:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Minimum 08 years of professional experience

The scope of civil works under the Investment Project includes the Improvement of the existing 2-Lane Dhaka – Sylhet National Highway over the length of approximately 210km into a 4-Lane divided carriageway National Highway with Service Lanes on both sides. To withstand heavy load (truck traffic) as well as extreme weather conditions, polymer modified bitumen (PMB) will be used for pavement. The main objective of the consulting service is –

1. comprehensive supervision of project implementation activities carried out by the contractors to ensure complete compliance with the technical specifications and various stipulations in the contract documents;
2. civil works contracts administration according to their Conditions of Contract, and in particular, exercise PIC’s authority and fulfill obligations stipulated in the Conditions of Contract as the Designated Engineer;
3. quality assurance of the civil works carried out by the contractors;
4. monitor progress of construction works according to work program;
5. completion of works within stipulated time limit.
