Position: National Senior Expert for Vocational Foreign Language Teaching

Qualifications Required:

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in one of the fields of English, English Teaching, Business Administration, Economics, Administrative Sciences, Educational Sciences, Social Sciences, or Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of professional working experience in teacher training.
• Minimum 7 years of professional or academic experience in managing or implementing initial or continuous professional development of teachers
• Minimum 3 years of academic or professional experience of initial or continuous professional development for foreign language teachers
• Good knowledge, understanding and skills in current and innovative foreign language teaching practices internationally and in Turkey, such as inquiry-based learning, etc.
• Good command of written and spoken English for professional purposes
• Full computer literacy

Job Definition:

• Leading the SNKE Math Teaching and SNKE Science Teaching in designing or adopting a common inquiry or practice-based learning approach for relevant subject matters via in-service training of Foreign Language (English), Math and Science teachers in VET schools.
• Preparation for and provision of input for agenda, presentations, and programming of three 3-day workshops in Ankara to develop the in-service training programme for Vocational Foreign Language (English) Teaching for teachers in VET schools.
• Facilitation of three 3-day workshops to develop in-service teacher training programme on Vocational Foreign Language (English) Teaching for teachers in VET schools
• Coordination, preparation for and provision of input for agenda, presentations, and programming of three 5-day pilot training in Ankara
• Facilitation of three 5-day training in Ankara.
• Coordination, preparation for and provision of input for agenda, presentations, and programming of 25 five-day trainings to be conducted for VET teachers on Vocational Foreign Language, Mathematics and Science applications oriented to vocational education in the pilot provinces.
• Facilitation of 25 five-day trainings to be conducted for VET teachers on vocational foreign language, mathematics and science applications oriented to vocational education in the pilot provinces.
• Preparation of and provision of input for an implementation guide in Turkish including two videos.
• Preparation for, provision of input for agenda, presentations, and programming, and quality control of Training of Trainers lasting for ten working days.
• Facilitation of one 10-day Training of Trainers.
