Description

PwC Turkey is looking for a Transport Economist for the EU funded project “Strengthening Intermodal Transport Services in Turkish Railway Sector” to be implemented in Turkey.

Transport Economist will work on a full-time basis during the project implementation and s/he will be maintaining full-time presence in Turkey, at the duty station, during the lifespan of the project;

Job Description: Key Expert 2 will be responsible for development and validation of network, economic analysis of existing status, comparison of different modes and routes in transport sector, economic evaluation and cost-benefit analysis of freight transport corridors and recommended actions about rail and intermodal freight transport.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelors’ or higher degree in business administration and management, economics, engineering, architecture, urban planning, or natural sciences. In the absence of a university degree in these fields, a minimum of 10 years of experience in preparation of Cost Benefit Analysis / Feasibility Studies for the transport sector is required,
  • Excellent spoken and written English,
  • Good level of computer literacy. General professional experience
  • Minimum 10 years of general professional experience.
    Specific professional experience
  • Experience in at least 1 project/study for rail freight corridor development based on transport demand forecasts and transport demand analysis,
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in preparation of Cost Benefit Analysis / Feasibility Studies for the transport sector.
