The Civil Society Facility (CSF) was set up in 2008 to financially support the development of civil society in candidate countries, contributing to anchoring democratic values and structures, human rights, social inclusion and the rule of law, thereby supporting the EU integration process. The CSF flag-ship programme in Turkey, branded in Turkish as "Sivil Düşün", ensures innovative and flexible support to rights-focused civil society organizations and active citizens/activists. SD Phase I-III ran from November 2012 to February 2020; Phase IV began in March 2020 and will run through August 2025. Programme instruments and activities include the Active Citizenship Mechanism, roundtables, forums, nationwide awareness-raising campaigns, and capacity-building training.

Tasks and Duties:

Under the supervision of the KE2 and SNKE01, ACM Assistant will

  • Support SNKE01 during the compliance check process and day-to-day follow up of the process
  • Provide data related to AP1 for interim reports, quarterly monitoring reports and monthly management meetings state of play reports
  • Participate in info days, monthly management meetings, steering committee meetings, regular ACM Team Meetings
  • Produce weekly reports of the status of hotline inquiries

Qualifications Required:

  • University degree, in the absence of such degree at least 3 years of professional experience
  • Proven experience in support programmes/capacity building trainings/event organization/communication
  • Good command of English
  • Knowledge of the CSO sector in Turkey would be an asset
