WWF-Myanmar is now inviting applications for Short Term Consultant for Sustainable Agriculture learning Platform Coordinator who will be working from June to October 2022 with home-based.

Background of consultancy assignment/ project

Sustainable agriculture programme ensures that expansion of industrial crops do not disturb natural habitats. The team is working with smallholder rubber farmers and rubber private sector, to develop a traceable sustainable natural rubber supply chain. WWF is to develop market linkages with large international tire companies in order to gain international prices for quality natural rubber RSS. In the world market, market demand situation will be day by day getting high and the market supply situation will be all the time in favor of sellers. This will benefit rubber planters, producers and processors in the region. As such an important and lucrative reliable crops, therefore, it will be created online platform to bring the rubber stakeholders and to develop of rubber sector in Myanmar.

Objective of the consultancy

The objectives of the consultancy are (1) to assess of rubber stakeholder, (2) to learn and make online platform for rubber stakeholders, (3) to develop and strengthening of rubber platforms, and market knowledge sharing for all stakeholders through WWF.

Scope of work/ Major responsibility

The scope of this work is outlined below.

1. Organize meetings with the consultant and the private companies, CSO and NGO to provide feedback to the work that the concept, the prototype and beta version of Sustainable Agriculture Learning platform proposed by the Sustainable Agriculture Learning platform development consultant.
2. Support the consultants that are preparing the training modules on creation and strengthening of farmer associations with recommendations on the training materials that can be created.
3. Monthly various type of rubber price on highlighting: a) Price of latex. b) Price of rubber sheets (in its different types) in all production centers. 3. International prices of latex and 4. international prices of rubber sheets (in its different types)

Requirements

• Any bachelor degree, experience in the agriculture field and skill in computer knowledge.
• Manage the stakeholder’s organization and take care of supply chain process for project materials from Donor Organization to beneficiary.
• Fluency in English and experience in writing similar reports and preparing knowledge products.
• 5 years of experience in related field especially in perennial crops knowledge.
• 5 years of experience in computer knowledge and in innovative approaches to online platform development
• Proven understanding on stakeholders of Myanmar Rubber Value Chain
• Awareness of the socio-political, natural environment management and rubber supply chain based on Rubber    
• Promoting team synergy in a multi-cultural work environment.
• Ability to identify innovative approaches.
