Description
In close collaboration with Oxfam team members in Honduras and partners, the advisor will be mandated to:
- Support the team in the implementation of workshops to promote sexually responsible behavior practices, promotion of sexual and reproductive rights, and prevention of risky sexual behavior
- Contribute to skills development by facilitating workshops to learn about definitions of sexual diversity, and promoting understanding of sex, gender, and sexual orientation
- Analyze previous organizational diagnostics and assess organizational and gender equality strengthening needs
- Perform other tasks as assigned by his/her immediate supervisor that are closely related to the job profile and contribute to the stated objectives
- Share and embody Oxfam’s commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against behaviour that violates the code of conduct, including sexual harassment, exploitation, abuse, intimidation, lack of integrity, corruption, and fraud
- Participate in development efforts in Canada during and after the mandate by contributing to the dissemination of the program, projects, partners, etc. through testimonials, life stories, photos, quotes, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
- Have Canadian citizenship or permanent residence in Canada or citizenship of a Latin American country
- University degree in psychology, sexology, or similar fields
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Advanced level in Spanish
- Adhesion to Oxfam's mission and values, including the promotion of gender justice
- Experience in the field of international development (an asset)
