Senior Expert - Gender Analyst

 General description of the position:

• Expert category: Cat. I (>12 years of experience)

• Qualifications and skills required: Education at least Master's degree in international development cooperation, international relations or any related fields. In absence of Masters degree, 15 years of general professional experience will be deemed sufficient.

• General professional experience: At least 12 years of general professional experience in development cooperation, international relations, social and economic development sectors.

• Specific professional experience: At least 5 years of experience in working with civil society organisations, including women organisations and applying a gender perspective in (i) women economic empowerment and women political empowerment, and in a list 1 of the following sectors (indicative list): agriculture, fisheries, climate change, climate adaptation, environment, health, access to justice.

• Language skills: English

• Number of working days: 23 days

• Additional information:  Experience of working in in Asia and the Pacific; Knowledge of EU external relations policies, cooperation instruments and investment frameworks; Knowledge of EU Gender Action Plans II and III;  Ability to work in English is required;  Strong analytical and writing abilities.
