Description

Sheladia Associates is seeking professional a Rural Road Infrastructure Specialist/Team Leader to join our team for an upcoming road project in Malawi.

Individual will support the Client in all aspects related to the implementation of the project.

Other duties will include reviewing the Detailed Feasibility Study report including the topographical surveys, preliminary design, drawings, environmental and social impact assessments, BOQs, and economic analysis. The Consultant will comment on the findings, recommendations and any relevant issues, prepare progress reports,and participate in all meetings including site visits etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • Post graduate degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • Membership of a recognized professional institution.
  • Minimum 15 years’ post qualification experience of which 5 years must be in team leadership positions.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the design and construction of rural paved and unpaved roads and bridges, preferably in sub-Sahara Africa
  • Fluent in English
