Reports To: Finance Manager

Job Summary:

The Finance Clerk is responsible for providing general clerical support to the Finance Department.  

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Issues donation receipts, updates donations file and follow-ups on donations not received  
Prepares vendor statement reconciliations 
Performs banking as required 
Sorts and files documents and posts debits/credits to proper account 
Verifies amounts on various forms for accuracy 
Processes accounts payable invoices as required 
Coordinates and maintains records (e.g. company credit cards, and bank signing authorities). 
Prepares monthly-consolidated bank summary reports 
Assists on projects and assignments and other related duties as assigned 

Education, Training and Experience:

Diploma or Degree in Accounting (or equivalent education/experience) 
At least 1 year of experience in a similar position

Job Skills and Abilities:

Intermediate computer skills (e.g. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills 
Excellent time management skills 
Ability to take initiative 
Ability to work independently and cooperatively as a member of a team 
Ability to work under time constraints and meet tight deadlines. 
Ability to plan, organize and manage work with minimal supervision  
Ability to effectively prioritize work and concurrent tasks
