The Program
The Fiji Program Support Facility (the Facility) was established in 2017 to support and implement Australia’s aid programs such as health, education, emergency preparedness and response and governance in Fiji. The Facility also supports the Australia Awards in Fiji and Tuvalu. The Facility integrates cross-cutting themes, including gender equality, disability and social inclusion, climate change and Disaster Risk Reduction, across sectoral programs. In particular, the Facility seeks to strengthen program outcomes by better addressing the needs of targeted beneficiaries including those who are often marginalised.
The Facility Management Unit (FMU) in Suva provides centralised overreaching management of the Facility’s programs and activities including operations, monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) communications and public diplomacy and integration of cross-cutting themes. The Administration Assistant will work within the Operations Team in the FMU.
The Position
The Facility Management Unit (FMU) Administration Assistant reports to the Logistics & Administration Coordinator and supports a range of general office logistics and administration areas including reception, daily office operations, and other administrative office duties to support effective Facility operations, programs, and activities.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have a Certificate in Business Administration, Management, Office Administration, Finance, or related fields is essential or 2 years of relevant experience.
The successful candidate will have a valid driver licence and a good driving record and previous experience in a similar role providing logistical and administrative support in the government, private or development sector. This person will have good computing skills and experience using Microsoft Office applications and general knowledge of office equipment, such as printers and scanners. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, engaging effectively and sensitively with people of various cultures, disciplines, and stakeholder organisations.
