Description

About the role

Crown Agents is building a portfolio of Climate Energy and Sustainability programmes with government partners. We are a trusted partner supporting countries in the Global South as they look to overcome key practical challenges in the implementation of their green energy and climate commitments.

We deploy Crown Agents’ existing capabilities in supply chain, government systems strengthening and programme/fund management to the energy and climate challenges governments face. We engage in projects and initiatives which will make a critical difference in countries’ abilities to achieve their energy and climate related SDG & Paris goals and transition to low carbon economic growth.

In 2023 we are building-out from our existing energy and climate delivery work and position Crown Agents as an established player and implementer of choice for:

decentralized renewable energy (DRE) programmes, including a ‘blended finance’ product for energy-as-a-services, raising funding to deliver a multi-country, solar for health programme covering core CA geographies.
climate finance and energy sector procurement capacity building;
energy and climate fund management.
Health-climate nexus;
Carbon markets and forestation verification.

We are building a roster of expert consultants to support this objective to support our small in-house team. Membership of the roster provides fast-tracked access to opportunities and proposals with Crown Agents.

Process for joining the roster

The process for joining the roster involves a couple of informal interviews/discussions with the CES team, including the Director for Climate Energy and Sustainability, and other members of the global leadership team.
Agreement on broad terms and conditions and fee rate (specific fee rates may vary according to the client).
A due diligence process.
