About the role

CLIENT-CENTRED SALES AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Work both independently and in collaboration with international offices, technical procurement colleagues and other parts of the Crown Agents business, to respond to opportunities.
Support other members of the Growth Team to qualify and convert new leads in the procurement function based on various commercial models
Work alongside the corporate Communications team to ensure that procurement marketing and promotion materials are market relevant, up to date and fit for purpose
Draw on support from the Commercial Development Office and its bid writers to prepare concept papers, Expressions of Interest and winning proposals
Provide assistance to the Growth Teamin the design and delivery of credible and impactful sales pitches to target and existing clients, working with technical members of the department where necessary
Support the delivery against revenue generation targets (output) assigned by Senior Management
Assist with the development of capture pursuit plans

SALES MANAGEMENT

Data acquisition: Substantially increase valid client data on CRM
Drive better use ofthe CRM across the organisation, including basic mandatory requirements
Lead onthe development of fit for purpose lead tracking systems and qualification tools and templates
Work with technical colleagues to feed back into product and service development.
Monitor and report on upcoming procurement awards and events

MARKET INTELLIGENCE AND REPORTING

Monthly reporting on performance against targets
Ad-hoc reporting to Senior Management as requested
Reportback, at Procurement Team Meetings, Cluster Meetings, All Staff Meetings on bid and marketing collateral progress and achievements as necessary
Maintain and update the competitor analysis database working with the international offices

GENERAL

International and domestic travel may be a requirement of this role as opportunities dictate

About you

Requirements
Qualification

The post-holder does not require technical procurement skills, qualifications or experience.
Any marketing related qualification, or qualification by experience, would be advantageous.

Experience
The job holder needs to have:

Experience in, and be able to show demonstrable results in, a previous bid management and writing related post, and extensive experience working and managing CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, or similar.

It is desirable that the job holder has:

demonstrable experience selling procurement and supply chain services; and
good working knowledge of international development industry, terminology, funding institutions and key partners
