Description générale Working under the direct supervision of the Head of Regional Hub and the A2J Regional Coordinator in Budapest, Hungary, the A2J Project Manager is responsible for project management of Tdh’s regional A2J projects and supports the work of the A2J Regional Coordinator. More specifically they are responsible for coordination of some projects from the A2J portfolio (with a focus on regional projects involving more than one country). S/he plays an important role in the development, implementation and evaluation of regional A2J projects and is responsible for liaising with partners and suppliers, ensuring quality and timely implementation of project activities from Tdh’s side, for the appropriate spending of the project budget, and the project’s quality and accountability, oversight and reporting. i-ACCESS MyRights – “AI-driven support for a smart justice with children in Europe” will be the first project coordinated by the A2J Project Manager. This project is led by Terre des hommes Regional Hub in Hungary in partnership with Terre des hommes Romania, Terre des hommes Hellas, SAPI (Bulgaria), Noldus (Netherlands), KU Leuven, and Lawren.io (Belgium). Its main objective is to improve access to information and legal assistance in the area of e-justice for child victims in Europe by promoting a child-centred AI-driven solution. The A2J Project Manager participates in all planning and evaluation activities related to national and regional A2J projects, including fundraising (proposal writing), ad hoc translation support, partner search, strategic development and program evaluation. S/he will work in close collaboration with HR, finance, logistics, admin and communication departments. The A2J Project Manager is also responsible for supporting the work of the Regional Coordinator of the Access to Justice Programme in steering the A2J programme across Europe including both regional and country specific activities. The A2J Project Manager may have line management responsibilities for one or more project officers.

Leading and overseeing project development and implementation of Access to Justice projects
Taking responsibility for project coordination
Liaising with partners and contractors
Ensuring all communication process in the project, internally and externally
Maintaining close communication with donors
Exercising financial oversight on the regional project budgets
Responsible for carrying out regular monitoring review with partners
Ensuring meaningful participation of children in a safe and conducive environment
Responsible for implementation of Tdh Child Safeguarding Policy by Tdh and Tdh partners Leading the monitoring & evaluation process, in collaboration with the M&E Officer
Collecting financial reports from partners and responsible for project reporting and drafting annual and final project reports
Supervising the development of the research methodologies and quality oversight of the deliverables
Contributing to the development of new project proposals and other initiatives in close cooperation with A2J staff in HQ and in the other Tdh Delegations.
Supporting the work of the Regional A2J Programme Coordinator and the A2J Programme
Keep abreast of trends and developments in access to justice
Line management of one or more project officers.

Profil

Education:

Relevant university degree in law from an accredited educational institution

Experience:

3+ years of the experience in designing and conducting projects in justice for children
Proven experience in successfully managing regional and/or multi-country projects with a level of complexity
Experience or sound understanding of child participation processes
Knowledge and experience of the relevant EU and other European funding streams and the related implementation and reporting requirements is required.
Knowledge of and experience in the justice sector (including criminal justice), child rights, child protection, justice sector reform and/or development/rule of law aid would be a strong asset.
Knowledge and experience of working with or in large international organisations; experience in INGOs or in social enterprises would be a distinct asset
