                                       Workforce Egypt Project Entrepreneurship & Innovation Senior Specialist

Project Summary: MTC International Development Holding Company, LLC (MTC) was awarded the USAID-funded Workforce Egypt project on June 1, 2021. Workforce Egypt assists in transforming the technical and vocational education and training (TVET) system to produce the skills needed for a globally competitive Egyptian market, thereby creating sustainable jobs, especially for youth and females, and institutionalizing structural labor market reforms that can support workforce development now and in the future. Working with a variety of Egyptian partners, MTC International provides technical assistance, capacity building, and training for relevant stakeholders and counterparts to: (1) transform the quality and market relevance of TVET institutions and programs; (2) strengthen private sector participation in workforce development; and (3) improve the environment for skills development and employment.

Project Duration: 5 years; June 1, 2021-May 31, 2026.
Position Location: Cairo, Egypt.

Reporting and Supervision: Entrepreneurship & Innovation Senior Specialist reports to Workforce Egypt’s Transition to Employment Senior Advisor.

Position Summary: The Entrepreneurship & Innovation Senior specialist will support managing the entrepreneurship & innovation activities at Workforce Egypt’s supported schools. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Review and update the entrepreneurship & innovation curriculum.
• Plan and supervise capacity building trainings and refreshers to entrepreneurship & innovation facilitators.
• Plan and build the capacity of entrepreneurship & innovation multipliers.
• Develop a comprehensive follow up plan.
• Build the capacity of a group of master trainers.
• Map entrepreneurship eco-system as a resource for TVET students and/or graduates.
• Supervise the implementation of the follow-up plan.
• Maintain and manage the national entrepreneurship competition (Fanni Mobtaker).
• Manage the project innovation clubs and the extracurricular activities served within.
• Design and manage the implementation of an entrepreneurship and innovation advanced model for the IATSs.
• Communicate consistently with the other units to coordinate all the joint activities.
• Work with other international development partners to support MoETE in entrepreneurship & innovation activities.

Education & Experience Requirements:
• Post graduate degree in business, economics, education, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the field of entrepreneurship & innovation.
• Previous experience in USAID or other donor projects required.
• Experience in the training and facilitation field is required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as a cooperative team member.
• Ability to travel throughout Egypt.
• Demonstrated management skills and ability to manage and mobilize team members.
• Ability to deal with information in a confidential manner.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize concepts and recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure.
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking) and fluency in Arabic required.
• Ability to use a variety of PC software: Word, Excel, Power-point, and any other related software required.
