EUROPEAN PROFILES S.A. (GR) is looking for experts for the implementation of the following Framework Contract: "Gender Support Mission for Sri Lanka and the Maldives 2024", under the Framework Contract "SEA 2023 - Lot 9: Democracy, Human Rights, Rule of law, Gender Equality and Human Rights Based approach"

Global objective
Upholding EU's commitment to address equality, human rights and empowerment of women and girls, by ensuring gender related issues are adequately addressed in all programmes and projects in Sri Lanka and the Maldives
Specific objective
- Assist the EUD in establishing a systematic, EU policy-consistent, comprehensive and effective monitoring system to assess progress against GAP-III objectives
- Support in effective gender mainstreaming of projects and new actions in close collaboration with relevant project implementation partners.
- Provide Gender Analysis for Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
Expertise
The minimum requirements covered by the team of experts as a whole are detailed below:
Qualifications and skills required for the team:
- Master's Degree or equivalent professional experience in gender/ human rights/ social and development studies/ Sociology or other relevant fields directly related to the scope of this assignment
- Equivalent professional experience at least 10 years, experience in working in Sri Lanka and Asia region will be an advantage
- Strong analytical, communication and report writing skills
- Sound critical judgment
- Strong networking and facilitation skills
- Proven communication skills (written and oral)
General professional experience of the team:
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in gender and social sector development and/or as a consultant for both short and long-term assignments, experience in working in Sri Lanka and Asia region will be an advantage
- Proven in-depth knowledge of the gender context and its institutions in Sri Lanka
- Demonstrated experience and expertise on gender analysis and gender mainstreaming.
- Technical expertise in gender mainstreaming of projects
- Knowledge of international/regional agreements and initiatives on gender (UN, CEDAW, Beijing, etc.)
- Sound methodological experience of development work in the field of Gender and Women studies and possess relevant experience in projectmanagement.
- Previous experience in technical assistance and/or monitoring and evaluation of donor funded interventions in the field of gender,
- Professional experience working with international organizations (EU and/or similar) and/or NGOs on gender related issues
- Knowledge of EU procedures will be advantageous
Specific professional experienceof the team:
- Demonstrated experience of minimum 10 years in Monitoring and Evaluation, data collection, analysis and reporting, and applying both quantitative and qualitative data collection tools, analysing data/information.
- Proven experience of working with/evaluating development work on gender issues.
- Excellent organisational skills
- Computer literacy (minimum MS Word, Excel, Power Point Presentation and familiarity with Access or other applications for data management)
Language skills of the team:
- Excellent command in English (C1 level minimum)
