Key Expert 3: Legal and Policy Coordinator (CAT II) - EU4CSO Ukraine

About the Project
WEglobal is seeking a qualified Legal and Policy Coordinator for the EU-funded project "EU4CSO - Support to EU Engagement with Civil Society Organisations in Ukraine (Phase 3)." The project aims to enhance the cooperation between the EU Delegation and civil society while improving the policy and legal environment for CSOs in Ukraine.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide assessments of the legal and policy environment impacting Ukrainian civil society and governance.
• Support the team in policy-related tasks, working closely with the Team Leader and the EU Delegation Project Manager.
• Conduct policy and legal analysis, drafting background notes, reports, and recommendations in English.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Completed university studies of at least 3 years in a relevant field (e.g., law, political, or social sciences). In the absence of a degree, 5 years of equivalent professional experience is required.
• Languages: Excellent written and spoken command of English and Ukrainian.
• Skills: Strong organisational and communication skills.

General Professional Experience

• At least 6 years of professional experience as a policy or legal analyst, or in a relevant field.

Specific Professional Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in providing legal and policy analysis related to Ukrainian civil society or governance issues.
• Proven experience working on civil society sector-related policy analysis.
• Experience in drafting policy or legal analyses and background notes in English.

Working Days: 200 days
Location: Kyiv, Ukraine (with availability for missions across Ukraine, subject to security conditions)
