For the ADT project: “Increasing Farm Skills for the Sustainable Development of Dairy Production in Kazakhstan (Skills Development Milk), Phase 2” (see https://www.kfm-kasachstan.net/) we are looking for a national long-term expert (m/f/d) in the field of milk production counselling/milk production/animal production starting at next possible date.

Minimum Requirements:

• Completed university degree (at least Diploma/Master)
• At least 5 years of professional experience in the agricultural sector
• Good knowledge of German and/or English

Additional Qualifications: 

• Completed technical/university degree in the field of animal production, veterinary, agricultural sciences, or similar
• Several years (3 years or more) of project experience
• Knowledge of animal husbandry/dairy production
• Knowledge of business management
• Country-specific knowledge of Kazakhstan or Central Asia
• Professional network in Kazakhstan
• Fluent Kazakh and good Russian language skills
• Experience in business consulting (methodological consulting expertise)
• Experience in advising on business planning, investment projects, etc.
• Experience in the further training of specialists and managers
• Gender competence
• Experience in dealing with digital media and social networks 

Your Tasks:

• Supporting the project management in the coordination of project activities
• Planning and organizing training events and seminars with national and international experts, at UNPC-Bayserke Agro & other locations
• Supporting the implementation of farm advisory services
• Supporting the planning and implementation of inter-farm advisory approaches (small producers)
• Providing specialized advisory services (feeding)
• Training and further training of specialists and managers (operational and financial advice)
• Participating in important events
• Documenting the effects of advisory services
