WorldFish is an international, nonprofit research and innovation institution that creates, advances, and translates aquatic food systems science into scalable solutions. For over 45-years, WorldFish’s data, evidence, and insights have shaped practices, policies and investments to end hunger and advance sustainable development in low- and middle-income countries. We have a global presence across 20 countries in Asia, Africa, and the Pacific, with 460 staff of 30 nationalities deployed where the most significant sustainable development challenges can be addressed through holistic aquatic food systems solutions. Embedded in local, national, and international partnerships, our work sets agendas, builds capacities, and supports decision-making for climate action, food and nutrition security, sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, blue economy, OneHealth, and AgriTech, integrating gender, youth, and social inclusion.
A core element of the 2030 WorldFish Research and Innovation Strategy: Aquatic Foods for Healthy People and Planet is focused on building the resilience of aquatic food systems to shocks, which is critical during this time of climate, ecological and economic crisis.

About the role
The Country Representative for Cambodia represents WorldFish at the country level. This role provides leadership in the strategic development and management of Cambodia ‘research in development’ portfolio, engagement with new and existing partners, and fostering collaborations with national partners and donors, and other CGIAR centers. The Country Representative manages the Cambodia country office’s operations and its staff. The incumbent will regularly engage with other WorldFish country program leads and Headquarter staff. The Country Representatives provides research contributions to the Cambodia country program in alignment with personal expertise and experience.

APPOINTMENT DETAILS
Location: The post holder will be based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This position will involve international travel. The position is open to national and international candidates.
Salary range: $78-110,000 gross per annum. Competitive benefits package, accompanied position. Relocation support is available for international candidates.
Contract length: The duration of the contract will initially be for a three-year (03) period with possibility for extension, depending on funding and performance. All benefits are subject to terms and conditions.
