IDA is an international independent non-governmental organization providing medical and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflicts, natural disasters and epidemics regardless of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
IDA was founded in 2012 by Syrian doctors from Aleppo in response to the healthcare and humanitarian crisis in Syria.
IDA Syria is the main healthcare provider in the Northern Aleppo/Syria area, working closely with 500,000 IDPs and 700,000 host communities through 20 healthcare facilities and other health and nutrition projects
During last year, IDA has provided 1.2 million services in Heath, Nutrition, WaSH and Camp Management
Responsibilities:
Providing supervision, case consultation, and guidance to the Child Protection and Gender-Based Violence (CP/GBV) Case Workers team.
Ensuring the case management system is operational and has up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), referral pathways, and an information sharing protocol.
Managing the Case Management team.
Managing referrals for the most complex Child Protection and Gender-Based Violence cases.
Collaborating with the Protection Officer and Protection Manager to develop a capacity-building plan for Case Workers.
Facilitating and co-facilitating case management training for Case Workers and other relevant staff as needed.
Facilitating weekly case conference meetings.
Responsible for compiling the weekly report from "Care Workers" and submitting it to the "Protection Officer."
Developing a weekly and monthly work plan for the Case Workers.
Ensuring all relevant case files are up-to-date and documented according to best practices.
Responsible for maintaining an up-to-date CP/GBV case management database and submitting this document weekly to the Protection Officer.
Participating in assessments of new sites/services and program planning alongside the Protection Officer and Protection Management.
Serving as the focal point for communication and collaboration with staff from other sectors and external actors in the camps.
Any other duties requested by supervisors.
Strictly adhering to humanitarian and protection principles and standards, as well as organizational policies, including the Code of Conduct, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), and Child Protection.
2. (Job Requirements / Skills)
Educational Certificate in Social Sciences, International Relations, Law, Social Work/Psychology, or any other related field.
Relevant professional experience, including experience in Gender-Based Violence, Child Protection, or Protection programs in general.
(At least 3 years of relevant experience).
Proficient in computer skills and previous demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Demonstrates leadership and management skills.
Ability to work independently and responsibly.
Experience working with children and women.
