We are seeking a Regional Finance & Operations Director (RFOD) to provide strategic leadership for the Americas region, ensuring strong performance and robust compliance across finance and key operational areas including Supply Chain, IT and legal. The RFOD supports Country Offices and Clusters through governance, risk management, analytics, and capacity strengthening, and is a key member of the Regional Management Team and Global Finance Leadership Team.

This is a regional leadership role. Applicants must have credible experience overseeing multiple countries (not just supporting projects across countries).

What We’re Looking For (Read Carefully — this is essential)

Please apply only if you can demonstrate experience in all the following areas:

A. Regional NGO Experience (Non-negotiable)

8–10+ years in a senior finance leadership role (regional / multi-country strongly preferred)

• Experience in an international NGO implementing grant-funded projects in program countries (e.g., institutional donors)

• Proven experience coordinating finance with multiple Country Offices / Clusters (budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring)

B. Strong Finance Governance + Donor Compliance

• Leadership over budgeting, forecasting, treasury/cash flow, and decision support

• Excellent command of internal controls, audit follow-up, and risk management across countries

• Strong grant financial management: proposals/contracts review, donor compliance, donor reporting, cost recovery

C. Operations Oversight — Supply Chain

Supply Chain is a strategic function at Plan we are looking for a leader who has:

• Oversight of procurement governance and supply chain KPIs, value-for-money, and risk controls

• Experience partnering closely with a Supply Chain lead (regional or country level), ensuring inclusion of supply chain in the grant lifecycle

D. Systems & Analytics Mindset

• Strong capability in data-driven leadership and reporting, including Power BI (ability to improve reporting and train teams is a plus)

• ERP/finance systems experience preferred (SAP ERP, Dynamics 365), and experience supporting ERP rollouts is an advantage

Key Responsibilities (Summary)

• Lead regional budgeting/forecasting and monitor CO/Cluster performance and KPIs

• Ensure robust financial, supply chain and IT controls; maintain risk register; follow up audit actions

• Ensure strong grants management and donor compliance; timely donor reporting; optimize cost recovery

• Support strategic supply chain governance and resourcing; promote continuous improvement and compliance

• Drive cost-effectiveness, process improvement, and digital transformation/ERP projects as required
