Description

The Integrated Expert will support the implementation of the mitigation commitments of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) under Cambodia's strategic climate documents (NDC 3.0, LTS4CN, CCCSP) through the acquisition of climate financing and development of carbon markets projects under strategic guidance of the GIZ Cluster Climate and Agrifood Systems. He/she shall further develop the capacities of the Climate Change Office of MAFF on climate change.

Ihre Aufgaben
  • Acquisition of climate financing to implement MAFF's mitigation commitments in the agricultural sector under strategic mitigation documents (NDC 3.0, LTS4CN, CCCSP) in line with the strategic guidance from the GIZ Cluster Climate and Agrifood Systems;
  • Support the implementation of existing agricultural mitigation projects and develop new projects in at least 2 provinces to participate in voluntary carbon markets or government-to-government trading under article 6 of the Paris Agreement as part of the GIZ Cluster Climate and Agrifood Systems;
  • Support MAFF in the development of a carbon markets guideline for the agricultural sector as well as a project pipeline for climate financing projects and carbon market projects;
  • Support the work of the Climate Change Office in its major role to formulate, effectively implement, monitor climate-related policies, strategies, plans, programs and projects and to streamline climate change in all agricultural policies, strategies, plans, programs of MAFF along international practices;
  • Develop the organizational capacity of the Climate Change Office, including know-how on climate change, processes, formulation of climate related policies and reporting under UNFCCC and other reporting requirements of MAFF.


Das bringen Sie mit
  • At least 5 years of professional experience and technical knowledge on climate change mitigation and adaptation with a focus on agriculture
  • Strong experience in climate finance and carbon markets
  • Proven experience in the successful development of climate finance and carbon projects
  • Strong knowledge of the international climate agendas and commitments as well as climate finance sources and processes
  • International working experience and working experience in Southeast Asia is considered as an asset
