CARDS 2002 Project

Description: Community transit-conform customs procedures and IT interconnectivity System (NCTS)

The project’s overall objective was to strengthen and modernise the Croatian Customs Administration as a core public finance institution with a view of implementing new customs legislation and procedures fully aligned with the acquis communautaire.
The project purpose has been defined in the form of two specific objectives:
• To enhance administrative capacity of the Customs Directorate to implement new legal provisions and procedures in the field of community transit;
• To prepare development of a NCTS compatible automated transit system based on an upgrade of the current system.
